Shop Update #1

What's New in the Shop!

Here it is; my first shop update.

I've been a busy beaver lately. I've made a new shop logo(displayed on the left hand side of the blog), renovated the way the blog looks, designed new charts, made some finishes, and started designing some new charts. New charts, you ask? Of course I'll show you!

Letter E

Continuing the Alphabet Series, I've finished the Letter E.  This single color chart could be stitched as a decoration for your home, hung in a nursery, used as an accessory for your desk or office space, a present for a friend or family member, or even given as a housewarming gift.

Christmas Manger

Snowflakes fall from the sky, past a Christmas ornament with traditional scenes of the season. The first band of the ornament has crosses, the second band has an angel with his trumpet. Band three has palm trees and a manger, band four has camels, and the following bands sport various other motifs.

Irish Welcome

Céad míle fáilte; a hundred thousand welcomes in Gaelic. Intricate bands surround this cheerful Irish greeting. This could be stitched for your own house, placed on a desk, or given as a housewarming gift.

That's all!

I plan on posting my next shop update at the beginning of January, so keep an eye out for that. In the meantime, hope y'all have a lovely week, and I'll see everyone in my next weekly update. Until then,

Happy Stitching!

Gloomy Weather Reading, Phoenixes, and a Promo Code

Photo by  Alessia Cocconi  on  Unsplash It’s a very stormy, overcast kind of day at the Castle as I write this post. It wouldn’t take much to make me think of books I love, but doesn’t a day that makes you stay inside just make you want to read? A few years ago, I read the Phantom of the Opera. While I had seen the Emmy Rossum movie adaptation, I had never read the book, so I didn’t know what to expect going into it, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was fantastic, and a real page-turner! While I do have that book as a paper-back, I’m really enjoying reading with my Kindle. I can stay up late (as late as I can before I fall asleep face first into my pillow) and hear the owls hooting or the traffic driving past my window in the distance. If the weather stays as dark and gloomy as the weatherman says it will, then I foresee reading to the sound of thunder and rain as well. What’s not to like about that? It would be absolutely unacceptable if I mentioned the Phantom ...

Fabric, Moving the Q-Snap, and Fall Beverages

Phone Stand Pillow In my last post, I mentioned making a phone stand pillow. My first step was deciding which fabric to use. After going on an expedition through the Castle's fabric room, I've decided on these prints: I want to make more than one phone stand. One for when I'm reading, stitching, watching TV, etc. While I probably (famous last words, haha) won't use all of these fabrics, I still have to decide who stays and who goes. More on that in my next post, so stay tuned. WIP Update Here's where I got to since last time: Medieval Menagerie by Fox and Rabbit Designs Behold! A finished phoenix! I'm very fond of this phoenix. Don't those feathers look magnificent? As an added bonus for finishing this first dazzling bird, I can move my Q-Snap, which is always a treat. It gives one such a great sense of accomplishment. As for my next steps, I'll start stitching the other phoenix and the remaining motifs in this band before I begin stitching the egg in...
